My Approach
Psychodynamic
Psychodynamic therapy helps clients explore unconscious processes and past experiences that may be influencing their current behavior and emotional struggles. Through a combination of free association and exploring early attachment patterns, I guide clients in gaining insight into their unresolved conflicts and internalized beliefs. By examining these deeper layers, clients can better understand how their past affects their present relationships and self-image. This aligns with my overall approach of fostering self-awareness and emotional growth, particularly when working on issues like attachment, identity, and relational dynamics.
Somatic
This gentle approach helps individuals become more aware of how their bodies hold stress and trauma, which can often leave them feeling disconnected or overwhelmed. Talking through emotions is important, but it doesn’t always address how deeply stress can be felt in the body. Somatic Therapy offers a powerful way to release tension and process emotions that might feel too overwhelming to express verbally. It’s especially effective when working through difficult feelings or trauma, providing a safe, compassionate way to reconnect with oneself. I enjoy blending somatic techniques with other therapeutic methods to offer a more holistic approach to healing that nurtures both the mind and body.
Person-Centered
Person-centered therapy, also known as client-centered therapy, is an approach that focuses on creating a non-judgmental, empathetic, and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. This therapeutic method emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship, where you are seen, heard, and accepted without conditions. I aim to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, increase self-awareness, and build the confidence to make meaningful changes in your life. This approach is helpful because it allows you to move at your own pace, discovering your own solutions to challenges and developing a stronger sense of self-worth and personal growth
