Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you take insurance?

Yes! I currently accept Aetna. Please note that it is important to check whether or not mental health services are included in your healthcare plan. If you need assistance in checking whether or not you are covered, I am happy to help with this process.

  • What if you don't accept my insurance?

That’s okay! I do offer self-pay options. You are welcome to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier directly. Information to assist with this will be provided at your request. HSA is also an acceptable payment.

  • What if I am interested in services for my children, family therapy, or couple's therapy?

At this time, I am currently focusing on individual therapy for clients aged 18 and older. While I am unable to provide services for children, couples, or families, I am happy to offer referrals and resources to trusted professionals who specialize in those areas. Please feel free to reach out, and I would be glad to assist you in finding the right support for your needs. Your family’s well-being is important, and I want to ensure you are connected with the best resources available.

  • How much does each session cost?

The cost of each session can vary depending on your insurance plan and deductible. If you are using insurance, I will work with you to understand the details of your coverage.

For self-pay clients, the standard rate is $120 per session.

  • How long do sessions typically last?

For clients using insurance, each session typically lasts about 60 minutes. If you are paying out-of-pocket (self-pay), there is more flexibility with the session length. You can choose to extend the session beyond the standard 60 minutes. However, please note that any session lasting over 60 minutes (typically 75 to 90 minutes) will result in an adjusted fee, depending on the duration of the session.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

I understand that sometimes life circumstances can lead to unexpected changes in plans. My cancellation policy is as follows:

If you cancel and reschedule within the same week, no cancellation fee will be charged.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment and do not reschedule within the same week, you will be responsible for 100% of the session fee.

If you cancel within 48 hours of the session and do not reschedule within the same week, you will be charged 50% of the session fee.

Please note that insurance does not cover cancellation fees.

If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, it will be considered a no-show, and you will be charged 100% of the session fee.

I understand that emergencies do occur, and I am open to discussing individual situations. However, due to the high demand for appointment times, it’s important for me to maintain this policy to ensure that others who need services can access them.
